  • At what time do we meet?
After school around 3:30 till 4:00.
  • Do Clarkston High School students require 400 hours of community service hours?
No, you do not need to have 400 service hours. The question it depends on you and thinks about the purpose for having the community service hours.
  • Why did we believe?
Merry San I personally believe that volunteering is part of reaching out to the people who needs help with their community. Volunteering is also a freely suggest to do something for someone or organizations that could bring benefits for both sides. There is various benefits or outcome from volunteering. People have a chance to step out of their comfort zone and experience new things, which is totally amazing. For example, I have gotten to help people who needs help with cleaning the church or shelving the books at a local library. It makes me happy to see people who satisfied with my work and my help. I feel amazing about myself when people appreciate my volunteerism. You motivate yourself from helping others, that is one of the benefit you can achieve from volunteering. Also, there is a chance to explore new environment and meet new faces. And we can learn something from these new people at least such as how they keep up with their work and their leadership skills. As human, we all are unique. We have different mindsets, thoughts, and perspectives. That is extremely interesting and we learn from each other. Beside we earn the hours for our school community service, which is extremely beneficial for the students. Volunteering gives us an open minded to see the world with a new whole perspective. It motivates us to change the world to be a better place as we always dream of, with a clean environment and green trees everywhere that could prevent pollution. Volunteering brings us happiness in our community, in our school and in our family. Peter Volunteering is helping people or community not expecting to be paid. David Tran Volunteering for community service hours is important. I want to do something after school then just going home. I don’t like doing homework much so I rather stay away from that. This would help me to Interact with others since I’m not social enough. This could help me understand how life would be in the real world. Moo Doh Being a refugee is never enough dream to experience throughout volunteering, I know when I volunteer the are many good people for me to gain such experience throughout my work hour. Things that I enjoy the most and when you do not have the fun of what you're doing, and what the point of doing it? To me, I always challenge myself a question. I want to experience the help of the people, and when I helped someone, I learn the skills that I may use in my future. It's not always playing a game, watching a moving, eat and sleep. I want to be active and involve in the community.
